 Quarbella™
is a premix that contains high performance cement with a patented
admixture that produces an extremely durable and strong pool surface.
The aggregate in Quarbella™ is 100% crushed natural quartz,
which is non-reactive to acid unlike plaster mixes containing
marble sand. Quartz aggregate finishes have been shown to be the
most durable pool surfaces on the market today.
 Thirty
years ago high percentage quartz mixes were used in pool
plaster. It was a practice however, that was discontinued
due to the difficulty in pumping, troweling and the tendency
for check cracking in high percentage quartz mix designs.
The
high strength admixture developed for the Quarbella™ creates
an incredible early cement strength with superior bonding capabilities
that benefit the future life of the cement. The admixtures in
the Quarbella™ aid in material pumping, trowel ability and
help to reduce check cracking. Quarbella™ is remarkably tough
and more resistant to etching, abrasion, and rebar bleed through
than conventional plaster.
