U-Add Poz™ is the only patented blend of natural pozzolans. What makes U-Add Poz™ unique is the formulation of the natural and highly reactive pozzolans that are combined in the correct percentages for the maximum results.

The blend of natural pozzolans in the U-Add Poz™ consume and reduce the amount of calcium hydroxide, a normal by product that is considered to be the weakest part of cement. Calcium Hydroxide is the cause of many problems associated with cement included efflorescence. Calcium hydroxide forms voids, which are unstable, weak and porous. Pozzolans reduce the amount of calcium hydroxide and turn it into a cementitious material forming a denser and tighter cement matrix.

Natural pozzolans were used in the Roman Era for construction purposes. True testimonials of pozzolanic strength and durability can still be found today in ancient structure constructed between 1550-2000 BC. Today pozzolans are required as an additive by many Federal agencies for structures such as bridges, dams and highways to improve durability and increase strength.
